Youth Award Retreats
Each year, our archdiocese holds retreats for the scouts. The day will reinforce each child's faith, as nurtured by their respective scouting program. We will grow in our Catholic Christian beliefs by listening, sharing, praying, singing, and playing. The day's activities are designed to jump start a scout's endeavors in working toward one of the CCOS awards.
Emblems Conferral Mass
Each year, our archdiocese holds a Religious Emblems Conferral Mass to honor those Cub, Boy, and Girl Scouts, and Venturing Crew members who have earned an emblem. The Mass is normally celebrated in early May at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi and is presided over by His Excellency, The Most Reverend Michael J. Sheehan, Archbishop of Santa Fe.
The date for the 2016 Conferral Mass will be announced in the fall. We thank all those who volunteered and wish all of the scouts Congratulations on their achievements.

Chairman's Letter to Catholic Units
Each year the Committee Chair is to communicate with all Catholic units. The letter for 2012 is published here as well as communicated via other methods. This letter provides an overview of the activities of the Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting as well as general information that should prove valuable to all units.
Important Notice - Youth Protection
The Archdiocese has published an amended policy which all Cub Scout and Boy Scout units chartered within the Archdiocese must follow. This policy contains minimum standards which must be followed for all overnight activities that include youth under the age of 13, as well as guidelines for protecting all youth.
The Santa Fe Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting is a committee affiliated with the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Youth Ministry serving the Great Southwest and Conquistador Councils of the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails. The Committee is dedicated to promoting "Duty to God" at each level of Scouting. We are affiliated with the National Catholic Committee on Scouting© (NCCS), an advisory to the Boy Scouts of America, National Catholic Committee on Girl Scouts and Camp Fire, and Region 13 of the NCCS (and NFCYM).
Each year the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Catholic Committee on Scouting holds several events to promote Catholic Scouting. These events include a Youth Religious Retreat, Religious Emblems Counselor Training, and the Religious Emblem Conferral Mass. We are able to accomplish these events because of the many dedicated leaders that donate their time and energy to providing a quality program.
